Mohamed Salah Hamed Mahrous Ghaly was born on
June 15, 1992, in the small village of
Nagrig in the Gharbia governorate of Egypt. Growing up in a modest

Salah started his professional career at El Mokawloon
in Egypt, where he quickly caught the attention of European scouts

earned him a move to FC Basel in
